I signed up for the blog tour not knowing who Logan Patricks was or what Semblance was about. I did not read up on the book or the author before I started the book, but I do have to say...
I am one HAPPY girl that I signed up for this tour!!
SYNOPSIS:

MY REVIEW
I feel in love with this book right from the start. It had all the things I love (sexy men, love, sex, blood, suspense, death, mystery) all wrapped into one book.
Shadow.... Oh, how I love Shadow! Strong, sexy, leader of the Midnight Society. What's not to love??!!
Logan Patricks had me thinking the outcome was going to end up one way and then BAM!! It went somewhere I never would have thought it would!! I can NOT wait for the next book to come out!!

EXCERPT #1
We visited four more temple ruins that afternoon. Though not as extravagant as Angkor Wat, each
one was just as haunting and beautiful. The one that touched me profoundly was Ta Prohm, where an
ancient looking tree seeped through the ruin’s walls creating a harmonious union between stone and root.
Two different elements of nature, fused into one to form one of the most breathtaking things I’ve
ever seen.
I turned around and looked at Shadow, who was too busy examining the carvings on the stone walls
to notice that I was staring at him.
We were two distinct entities in this vast universe ourselves—Shadow living in a world of money,
power, and a haunting past which suffocates him daily. Meanwhile I was a simple girl whose life blood
was filled with impossible dreams and musical sonatas. My future terrified me and my past was filled with
bittersweet memories.
A week ago, the thought of being in a relationship with this provocative, but ridiculously handsome
man was the last thing I wanted. Seeing the symbiotic union between the tree and the temple made mewonder if a love between Shadow and I could be just as beautiful and spellbinding?
I wanted him. God, I wanted him so badly.
I wanted these dates to be more than just a façade.
I wanted these moments we had together to mean just as much to Shadow as they did to me. I wanted
him to look at me as I looked at him—as the person who captured his heart.
EXCERPT #2
His presence cast a hush throughout the gardens. Shadow strolled towards the three women on their
knees, stalking them with an animalistic grace.
He was ominous, yet electrifying and I found myself trembling just standing in the same vicinity as he
was.
“Your bride awaits you Shadow,” Calisto said to her brother.
I glanced around and noticed that everyone had their head bowed in reverence of this man.
It was disconcerting and this made me panic.
This had to be a cult; there was no other logical explanation in my mind. Any second now, this
Shadow fellow was going to pass out the KoolAid and we were all going to drink it and die.
There was still time for me to flee. I could pretend to use the bathroom and then sneak out the
window or something. I had no idea where on the map this estate was, but that didn’t matter. I needed to
escape and I could figure the rest out later.
I looked around to see if anyone else was watching me.
Damn it, indeed someone was. Calisto’s eyes were deadlocked onto me.
I panicked and almost let loose a scream, but managed to contain myself. Thank God for the mask I
was wearing, which hid the expressions on my face.
Calisto smiled and winked at me, which I thought was a bizarre thing to do. I had no idea what was
happening or what to expect, but I desperately wanted to be away from here.
