Beauties! Jettie Woodruff's Underestimated and Underestimated Too are AMAZING!
I recently found myself to be in a bit of a book slump. Nothing seemed to catch my attention as I browsed through the pages of recommendations on Amazon, read the latest reviews, listened to friends share their favorite books- none of it sounded like just the right book for me.
I'd heard some really good things about an author who several of my friends seemed to rave about, however I'd never picked up anything by Jettie Woodruff
. After some back and forth conversation with my book Beauty, JMAC, I found a sweet little Amazon gift waiting for me in my inbox- a very sweet, talented author- I'd soon find would be one of my favorites, had gifted me Underestimated: Book One. Little did I know that this author and series would quickly be added to the top of my favorites.
I was drawn in from the beginning of the book. I didn't want to put it down because I knew something was going to happen- something had to happen in order to explain all of the dark, edgy comments that I'd heard and read about from the reviews. What I seemed to have in my hands was a nice little romance about a girl starting over in small town, running from something or someone that I only caught a hint of here and there, as I started off.
As I reached just over a quarter of the way through the book, I was already trying to pace myself because I didn't want to finish it too quickly. I'd then pick the pace back up again when I remembered there was a sequel waiting, just "one click" away.
I'm not sure if I was more drawn to the story line that seemed to build and build, layer upon layer as I read on or if it was the strength of Morgan- a simple, small town girl who grows into such a brave, strong woman- capable of anything, that kept me flipping to the next page.
And talk about falling in love with a monster of a character like Drew! I couldn't believe I'd be drawn to someone who was capable of such awful abuse. But, my book buddies told me to keep on reading and sure enough, Holy Hotness! It happened; I get it now!
I can't just leave this off as a review only for Underestimated. I quickly one clicked Underestimated Too and immediately started it as quickly as I could close out the first book and open the second on my Kindle. This was the book I had to pace myself with. I cherished every page, every paragraph, every sentence and word. I was in love with these characters- I found myself caring for them- being happy when they were happy- upset when they were hurt or in pain. This book was just as good, if not a little bit better, even...if that's possible- than the first. How rare is that- to find a sequel that keeps up with your expectations for the first book in the series?!
I give both of these books 5 stars- I'd give more if it was possible! If you haven't already, you need to follow these links over to Amazon and buy both of these amazing books. While you're there- go ahead and buy your self a copy of Jettie's latest 5 star book- Shhh...Mack's Side. She's unstoppable- I can't wait to share more of this special lady's work with you!

Oh Rebel, where have you been hiding all my life?
I was between books and decided I'd take a stroll through my to be read list. I practically scrolled right by Elle Casey's book Rebel- and Beauties, let me tell you how glad I am to have found this awesome book!
I'm in love with this book! I know I'm a little late to get on the Rebel Series bandwagon- but believe me, better late than never!!!! I fell in love with everything about this book. The characters are so likable; the chemistry between them reminds me of a lot of the relationships I have with many of my closest friends. There is the perfect blend of friendship, romance, mystery and yes, more romance!
I give Rebel a solid 5 stars- in fact I'd give this book more than that, if I could! I can't wait to continue on with this series and read the next two books that are already released- Hellion is next and seems like it's going to be just as hot as Rebel was and then the series wraps up with Trouble.
One of the many things I'm excited about with this series is the author's plan to follow the mystery behind the death of Teagan's father and her budding romance with Rebel, while still telling the story of her best friend and Rebel's brothers. I love book series' that include the main characters throughout the series, rather than moving on from them, barely mentioning them again.
Elle Casey has a fan forever- I'll be sure to include my reviews of the next two books in this series once I've finished reading them! Do yourself a favor and BUY THIS BOOK! I'd love to hear your comments if you've also read this series!

Looking for a Hard Rock Escape?
Cat Mason you are a wicked, wicked woman! I finished Escaping Me in a day- nothing, and I mean nothing on my "To Do" list got checked off. You gave me a true escape on one of the last days of my vacation, and I can't think of another place I would have rather been. That's a lie- I would have rather been on the tour bus with Shaft but we know that's not REALLY possible, now is it?
There's nothing I enjoy more than a book with the perfect blend of characters, a story line that I can get lost in and super sexy RED HOT (ahem...) sex scenes. Throw in a splash of tattooed rockers and (fanning myself) you've got a winner!
Great news Beauties! Cat's book, Facing Me (Shaft on Tour Book 2) is set to be released March 25th! You'll be hearing more from us about this 5 star page turner!
Go get it!

Logan Patricks' Semblance
SYNOPSIS:
Whoever said money couldn't buy happiness has never starved a day in their lives.
My name is Aria Valencia, a third year classical music student at the university, and I was down to my last dollar. Some nights, I seriously considered working at the rippers just to make ends meet, but the thought of my dad's spirit--God rest his soul--scowling at me while I danced up on some drooling degenerate was enough to turn me off the idea completely.
And then one night, chance came knocking on my door under the guise of the Midnight Society, a secret cabal comprised of the most wealthy and influential souls this side of the Universe. Their leader was a man named Shadow, who was equally enigmatic as he was gorgeous and, for some mystifying reason, had his dark brooding eyes focused on me.
Seduced by the promises of fame and fortune in exchange for a seemingly innocent request, I soon found myself drawn into a provocative world filled with both vast riches and unending lies and it didn't take long for me to realize what being a part of the Midnight Society actually entailed: shiny things, sensual romance, and dead bodies.
Being with Shadow came with a terrible price, one that I wasn't willing to pay. There's a dark side to every love story, and this one was mine.
REVIEW:
I loved every dark, unexpected turn this book led me through! Every time I thought I had predicted what was to come, Logan tossed in another curve and left me craving more. I really couldn't put this book down.
This was a very different read for me, which was so refreshing! The beautiful scenery I imagined as Logan described the landscape of everything from the secret property to the temple ruins Aria and Shadow visited. The mystery of a secret society added even more to the adventure this book took me on.
Watching this unlikely couple fall in love added a fun element to this story. I have to say, I'm not a typical fan of romance novels written by male authors (don't hate me for saying that!!!) But again, I loved this, truly a pleasure to get drawn into this tale and desperately waiting for more!
I can't wait to read what will become of this couple and the Midnight Society that has had such an impact on both of their lives! Do yourself a favor and one click this 5 star steamy, mysterious adventure!

AUTHOR BIO:
Logan discovered both love and heartbreak at the tender age of seven, when the pretty little blue-eyed girl next door stole his Kit-Kat bar and shared it with the bad boy from across the street. Devastated, Logan found solace by escaping into imaginary worlds he forged with words, creating kingdoms where the chivalrous knight always got the princess.
Twenty three years later Logan spends his days in a suit and tie, working for the government on matters of network security. However his thoughts never strayed too far from the incendiary nature of love — the passionate fire that’s both scintillating and dangerous. Obsessed with exploring the steamy and mysterious side of human nature, Logan continues to create worlds filled with thrills, mystery, and of course, sex.

EXCERPT
We visited four more temple ruins that afternoon. Though not as extravagant as Angkor Wat, each one was just as haunting and beautiful. The one that touched me profoundly was Ta Prohm, where an ancient looking tree seeped through the ruin’s walls creating a harmonious union between stone and root.
Two different elements of nature, fused into one to form one of the most breathtaking things I’ve ever seen.
I turned around and looked at Shadow, who was too busy examining the carvings on the stone walls to notice that I was staring at him.
We were two distinct entities in this vast universe ourselves—Shadow living in a world of money, power, and a haunting past which suffocates him daily. Meanwhile I was a simple girl whose life blood was filled with impossible dreams and musical sonatas. My future terrified me and my past was filled with bittersweet memories.
A week ago, the thought of being in a relationship with this provocative, but ridiculously handsome man was the last thing I wanted. Seeing the symbiotic union between the tree and the temple made me wonder if a love between Shadow and I could be just as beautiful and spellbinding?
I wanted him. God, I wanted him so badly.
I wanted these dates to be more than just a façade.
I wanted these moments we had together to mean just as much to Shadow as they did to me. I wanted him to look at me as I looked at him—as the person who captured his heart.

Looking for a change of pace? Give this beautifully written YA book a try!
Burdened by eyes that reveal her emotions, branded by a birthmark that spells out her name, and
gifted with strength heightened by inhuman capabilities, Kiara Fable has always suspected a veiled aspect of her life—what she failed to notice was the truth of her past lurking in the shadows, disastrously unraveling the normalcy of her future. Kiara’s dreary life with her adoptive family in a small, isolated village in the heart of the mystical world Menevilen is abruptly shattered the day she is rescued from an attempted assassination by the charming and intimidating Avian Knight. According to him, royal blood native to the kingdom of Enevale flows through Kiara’s veins—the same blood her maniacal, magic-wielding aunt, Vyntrx, will do virtually anything to spill. Thrust in the midst of a century-old blood-feud between the Evalseman and Nonae races, Kiara must ultimately betray half of her heritage and choose to defend a side of the rivalry. Faced with a war she may not be capable of winning, the presence of a traitor hiding amid the darkness of distrust, the bittersweet venom of love’s merciless sting, and more precarious escapades than she thought imaginable, Kiara fears her new world may be utterly forsaken. -MK
