 Tears streamed down my face as I remembered the first time I met him.  He was so young, beautiful and full of life, not like the man I had seen suffering in pain, just days ago.  My heart burned to see him, my fingers ached to touch him, just like when we shared our first kiss.  A kiss that I would never forget for as long as I lived.  It was forbidden, both of us promised to another, but the attraction was so strong, neither one of us could fight it.  I could still feel it, no matter how far apart we were.  He was my soulmate.

My Review

     This was such a fun series to read!  I fell in love with the characters- well, the good guys anyways.  Alyson found a great balance between quality story telling and RED HOT romance.  This third book in The Fixer series was just as captivating as the first two books, Deception, Book 1 and Promiscuous, Book 2.

     I found the good and even the bad adventures this couple find themselves on throughout this series most likely not something many of us will ever find ourselves experiencing in real life (or, perhaps you will- and lucky you, if that's the case).  That's the beauty of these books, Alyson has the ability to take you on a tour of foreign lands with her descriptions of scenery, the sights and smells, the down and dirty and breath taking beauty; she paints the whole picture with her words.

     I give this book 4.5 stars.  I enjoyed not only this last book, but all three in The Fixer Series.  This is a series that won't disappoint!  I look forward to reading more of Ayson Raynes' work in the future!   ~MK

Review of Deception, the first in The Fixer Series by Alyson Raynes

Deception was one of those short and sweet books that catches your attention and before you know it you're hooked- literally; hook, line and sinker!  I loved Dylan- he was sizzling hot, personality and looks to dream about.  He was THE perfect boyfriend.  Dylan played the part of Prince Charming, you might say, rescuing Brooke, his damsel in distress- in just the right place, at just the right time.

The one thing that kind of caused me to pause once or twice as I read this book, though short and sweet as it was, this couple sure did move fast!  I get it- we may find that one true love in our lifetime that is THE ONE TRUE LOVE- but this was kind of, well...fast.  Now, don't get me wrong- fast isn't always bad, and in this case, it worked.  I was able to immediately read Alyson's next book in this series, Promiscuous, and the pace of this love story continues on with a very good story line with lots of twists!

Alyson did a nice job with this book.  I liked her characters, the plot, descriptions, character relationships, all well done.  There were a couple characters I thought got lost a bit throughout the story (Brooke's best friend kind of...well, I'll say it, she takes a back seat to Dylan once Brooke takes the leap and jumps in feet first into the big sexy pool of love).  There were a few typos- not enough that it distracted me from the story, but enough that if they were fixed up it would make this book that much more fabulous!  

I'll be posting my review of Promiscuous on March 20th for Beauties and The Book's stop on Alyson's blog tour for The Fixer Series.  I've given this first book in her series a solid 4 stars.  I'd strongly recommend this book to my friends and Beauties followers- so go one click this yummy book and prepare to be hooked!
