Blurb

He's going above and beyond the call of duty...

Avery Yeung's biological clock just went off early. Thanks to her family's medical history, she's running out of time to get knocked up. And the only guy within donating distance? Her overprotective-and irritatingly hot-best friend. So clearly she needs an anonymous donor...

Anonymous donor? Over Sheriff Drew Flannery's dead body. While daddyhood will never be in the cards for a man with his past, Drew won't let Avery shop for a "popsicle pop." He'll do what's right for his best friend by doing his best friend. But only if they do it properly.

But there's nothing "proper" about it. Between the bed, the kitchen counter, and against his squad car, Avery and Drew are having the hottest sex ever. They can't get enough of it-or each other. And without knowing it, they've crossed the one line that could ruin their friendship forever...

I love a good best friends to lovers’ book, and Falling for His Best Friend was the perfect one!

Falling for His Best Friend follows two longtime friends, Avery and Drew, on their journey to finding and keeping love.  This book has a mixture of humor, sexiness, sadness and love.  It was a quick and extremely enjoyable read.  I literally finished the whole book in one sitting.

Avery might be my favorite female character.  She was freaking hilarious.  I loved her badass personality.  I mean who doesn’t love a female lead who isn’t afraid to speak her mind whenever she wants.  Avery held nothing back, and I adored her for that.  Avery is someone I would DEF become BFF’s with in real life.

Then we have Drew.  *swoon* Drew is a whole other story.  He’s all types of sexy, and oh he’s an officer.  Sexiness wrapped up in a uniform should be illegal.  The best part of Drew, besides his awesome personality, is when his alpha side comes out.  Lord it’s amazing!

When something forces Avery to make a huge decision, Drew tries to do whatever he can to be a part of this huge upcoming life change.

Falling for His Best Friend is the story of crossing the lines between lovers and friends.  Sometimes fate works in funny ways.  Someone you only thought of as a friend, could very well be your soul mate.  It’s up to you to embrace it rather than denying or trying to come between it.

I recommend this book to everyone (over 18 of course).  It was such a good book.  Just enjoyable.  It wasn’t a perplexed plot, it was just a light nice read.  Sometimes I just want to enjoy a book without having to think about the next step.  Falling for His Best Friend was that type of book.  No thinking involved.  I loved that about it.

Katee, you did a fabulous job with this story, though it’s the first book of yours I’ve read, I know it won’t be my last!

He jumped, and then climbed to his feet when Avery did, and followed her to the plump older nurse. She smiled at them, making him wonder if she were someone’s grandmother—the kind who made cookies and read bedtime stories and…
What the hell was he even thinking?
As soon as they turned the corner from the waiting room, she handed him a small clear cup that had a sticker with his information on it. “You’ll put the specimen in here, please.”
The nurse opened a door. “You can leave the cup in the room when you’re done.” She smiled at Avery. “You’re welcome to go into the room with him, but we ask that you ensure there’s no saliva or other fluids involved so you don’t contaminate the specimen.”
Avery made a choked noise. “That’s so not going to be a problem.”
The nurse laughed and patted her shoulder. “I’ve heard that one before, honey. I’ll just leave you to it.”
He barely waited for her to disappear back around the corner before he turned to examine the room. It looked like an entire frat house’s stash of porn had exploded in there. “Isn’t this a little much for a few tests?”
She looked at him like he was an idiot. “How else are you going to get your engine running?
Besides, this isn’t about tests—though I’m sure they’ll run a few. You wanted to help me make a baby, so let’s make a baby. Now go get ‘em, Champ.”
Jesus Christ. She expected him to leave a specimen so the doctor could shoot it up her…
Apparently when they’d talked about making a baby, something had gotten lost in translation.
 “You’re shitting me.”
“Nope.” She slid past him into the room and meandered around, stopping in front of the television and eyeing the collection of DVDs on the shelf next to it. “Oh, look, they have Busty Blondes #37. I seem to remember you having one of these videos back in high school.”
He grabbed her shoulders and tried to steer her away from the shelf. “Not interested.”
Truth was, his inspiration for self sessions had migrated toward pretty Asian women who looked a whole lot like the one standing in the room with him.
“If you’re not into the DVDs, they have magazines, too.” She poked one with her finger. “Though this one appears a bit crusty.”
“Christ, stop touching things. Do you know what men do in here?”
She rolled her eyes. “Yeah, Drew, that’s kind of the point. They come in here, watch or read whatever tickles their fancy, and then masturbate into that sanitary little cup right there.”
When she said ‘masturbate’ he thought his head might actually explode. “Avery—”
“Are you worried about hitting your mark? That is kind of a small cup. Want me to go find something bigger?”
God, she was killing him. It would have been so much more bearable if he thought she was kidding, but Avery was drop dead serious. It was a sign of her nervousness that she hadn’t cracked a joke since he got into her Jeep.
 He couldn’t do it.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Katee Robert

New York Times & USA TODAY Bestselling Author

Katee Robert learned to tell stories at her grandpa’s knee. Her favorites then were the rather epic adventures of The Three Bears, but at age twelve she discovered romance novels and never looked back.

Though she dabbled in writing, life got in the way—as it often does—and she spent a few years traveling, living in both Philadelphia and Germany. In between traveling and raising her two wee ones, she had the crazy idea that she’d like to write a book and try to get published.

Her first novel was an epic fantasy that, God willing, will never see the light of day. From there, she dabbled in YA and horror, before finally finding speculative romance. Because, really, who wouldn’t want to write entire books about the smoking-hot relationships between two people?

She now spends her time—when not lost in Far Reach worlds—playing imaginary games with her wee ones, writing, ogling men, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

Blog Tour ~ Review & Giveaway ~ Imperfect Truth by Ava Harrison ~ JMAC

  Imperfect-Truth-EBOOK-FOR-WEB

  SYNOPSIS

I’m a blogger. He’s a writer. He was my weakness. I was his muse. Once upon a time my marriage was built on love... Until it wasn’t. Where had we gone wrong? I had given up hope… But then he messaged me, And his words intoxicated me. Made me believe in love again. Made me believe in truth. My imperfect truth…

When I saw a teaser for Imperfect Truth, I knew it was a book I had to read.  A blogger/author romance with a sort of love triangle, yeah that basically screams my name.
We all know I love cheater books, because to me the emotions are super real, plus it’s something that happens in everyday life.  Even if I myself have never experienced cheating, it’s something a lot of people can relate to.  Usually when I read a cheater book, im always rooting for the “other” guy.  With Imperfect Truth that was the case.  I hated Alexandre for the way he treated Ava.  To be honest, I thought he was the one who was cheating.
While there is cheating (in my opinion) in this book, to me it was more cheating on an emotional level rather than a physical one.  But cheating is cheating at the end of the day.  It’s still not a book I consider a full out cheater book.  To me the more I read Imperfect Truth, it turned out to be a book about finding yourself.  Going through a lot of bad, to finally want to see some good.
Ava was in a marriage, if you could even call it that, and was beyond unhappy.  Her husband, Alexandre, paid no mind to her whatsoever, and let people treat her like crap.  He never supported her beyond financially, and it was taking a huge toll on Ava.  It wasn’t until Ava got a message from a well-known author, that she started to feel things.  This author made her feel what she hasn’t felt in a long time.  Ava started to feel cared for, loved even.
So before I spoil anything I have to stop.  What I will say is I wasn’t expecting the plot twist.  I totally started this book thinking, ooohhh a cheater book with an author and blogger, yay.  But seriously, it was so much more than that.  The plot twist was executed perfectly.  Ava, you are a great writer.  I felt the emotions your characters were going through that were etched in your words.
Imperfect Truth is the story of learning to love yourself, even though you’re not perfect, and knowing that someone out in this world will love and accept your imperfections.
Imperfect Truth was a great read, I definitely recommend it.

    EXCERPT

As we head over to the bar, Ryder pulls me by the hand, and we step onto the dance floor instead. The vibe is electric, as the patrons rhythmically move to the music. I close my eyes, allowing the beat to permeate my consciousness. Ryder pulls me toward him, swaying his body with mine. We slowly begin to dance. The warmth that emanates from his body is a beacon to my soul. As our bodies touch, sexual tension radiates between us. We move together in perfect sync. Our breath is coming out in short, ragged bursts. I feel sexy. I feel liberated. I feel free. Desire courses through me. This is all Ryder. He keeps me in a perpetual state of need. Sensing my urgency, he looks at me with an expression that sends chills down my spine. His need to consume me is palpable. He leans into me, breathing me in. I can feel the warmth tickle against my neck. My heartbeat becomes more erratic. His hand trails circles down my back, stroking lower and lower. He grazes the swell of my hip as I glide my fingertips up the side of his body. I stroke his torso ever so lightly as we continue to dance. Trailing my hands past his collarbone, I wrap my arms around his neck. I look up at him, and he smiles at me seductively, the curve of his mouth lifting so that it is barely noticeable.   "I want to taste you." His voice is husky.   I bite down on my lower lip as I take in his words. His fingertips trace the end of my black eyelet dress.   "I want to taste every part of you,” he says again in my ear, this time slower as his hand creeps under the hem. My skirt pushes higher up my leg as we continue to move our bodies against one another. I stop moving and just stand there panting, feeling dizzy with need. I’m hyper aware that his fingers are now tracing circles on the upper part of my thigh. They are almost connecting to the cotton covering my most intimate place. On an exhale, he touches me so softly, I feel as though I might have just imagined it. As he grazes my sensitive flesh on the top of my legs, my breath hitches.   I’m frozen in place knowing I need to stop this, but I’m unable to pull away.   His eyes penetrate mine, daring me to stop him. But just as quickly as this game has started, it ends as he pulls his hand away.   “No, not yet. I want you to be only mine. Your thoughts, your body, your every desire. Until you’re ready, I won't kiss you, I won't touch you, I won't taste you.” Copyright © 2015 by Ava Harrison

RDB ~ Redemption by Jaimie Roberts ~ JMAC

Title: Redemption
Series: Deviant #2
Author: Jaimie Roberts
 Release Date: April 3, 2015

Synopsis

How could anyone move on from a betrayal so devastating, it cut down to the bone and rooted itself deep within? You could never forgive such heartache…

Or could you?

From the moment Tyler was six, she fell in love with that cocky eight-year-old boy with the black spiky hair, captivating blues eyes, and scruffy uniform. From the moment he punched a boy for hurting her, Tyler knew there was no going back. They were always meant to be together...

Always.

Then everything changed. The stage was set like a tragic Shakespearean play, and Tyler’s and Dean’s world—as they knew it—had ended.

Or had it?

Tyler

My name was Jessica now. I faked my own death, changed my identity, and moved thousands of miles across the ocean just to escape the one man I would never get out of my heart. I had a four-year-old son I adored more than anything in the world. On one fateful, horrific night, the life I knew disappeared in the blink of an eye. I left people behind. People I cared about. People I would never forget. People I loved.

But had I truly moved on?

No one said leaving behind the one man you had loved since you were six would be easy. I lived life day-to-day. I even met a man and tried to settle down. Evan was a man any woman would desire. So why could I not love him the way he obviously loved me? Why couldn’t I move past the dark-haired, blue-eyed boy who consumed my every thought? I may have left him, but he had never truly left me.

I could never love another man. Dean made sure of that the day he breezed into my life. I was only half a woman now. I had been broken and bruised by the one man I thought I could always love and trust. How could I let go of something like that? I suppose I just had to. I was just getting by with each day that passed. I was coping. I was managing, and that was keeping me from falling apart.

But then disaster struck again. And it was on that day…

Everything changed.

Dean

You can’t hide forever, Tyler. I will always be hunting you, always be searching, and will never give up. If there was ever one certainty in your life, it was that. You slipped through my fingers, not once but twice. You took my heart with you when you left me that day. No amount of alcohol, women, or punching bags would block you from my mind. You couldn’t be dead. I wouldn’t allow you to be dead. You’re out there somewhere. I must congratulate you that you had evaded me for this long. You always were a smart girl. How could I not have fallen in love with you? You did escape me this time, but I will find you, Tyler. I promise you that. And when that day comes… I will finally make you MINE.

Blog Tour ~ Fighting Silence by Aly Martinez ~ JMAC

Meet Till & Eliza in Aly Martinez’s newest fighter series!

NOW AVAILABLE

Sound is an abstract concept for most people. We spend our lives blocking out the static in order to focus on what we believe is important. But what if, when the clarity fades into silence, it's the obscure background noise that you would give anything to hold on to?

I've always been a fighter. With parents who barely managed to stay out of jail and two little brothers who narrowly avoided foster care, I became skilled at dodging the punches life threw at me. Growing up, I didn’t have anything I could call my own, but from the moment I met Eliza Reynolds, she was always mine.  I became utterly addicted to her and the escape from reality we provided each other. Throughout the years, she had boyfriends and I had girlfriends, but there wasn't a single night that I didn’t hear her voice.

You see, meeting the love of my life at age thirteen was never part of my plan. However, neither was gradually going deaf at the age of twenty-one.

 They both happened anyway.

Now, I'm on the ropes during the toughest battles of my life.

Fighting for my career.

Fighting the impending silence.

Fighting for her.

Every night, just before falling asleep, she sighs as a final conscious breath leaves her.

I think that's the sound I'll miss the most.

*JMAC'S REVIEW*

Gosh, Fighting Silence was sooooooo good!!!
This was the first book of Aly Martinez's that I've read, and I already am positive it wont be the last.

Both Eliza and Till had shitty families.  Till had 2 parents that were too busy with drugs and drinking to even worry about their kids, and Eliza had two parents that were too busy fighting to even care about her well being.  Both Till and Eliza had a safe haven.  This apartment that was vacant.  They would both go there when they wanted to get away.  Very soon it became "theirs".

Till was a fighter.  He was great in the ring, plus it kept him out of trouble.  Eliza on the other hand was big into art.  She loved to draw.  Even though her Mom hated that she gained that trait from her father, it never stopped Eliza from drawing.

Till knew him and Eliza wouldn't work.  He loved her from a young age, but had secrets that he felt would prevent them from having a future.  Eliza didn't care though.  She had eyes for one man, and one man only.  Till Page.

Aly has a way with words.  I remember coming to a certain part in the book.  Eliza didn't want a "fantasy" with Till, she wanted the reality.  Anyways, I almost threw my kindle, until I read the next sentence. Then I was like "Ohhhh Okay"  LOL.  I read Fighting Silence in one sitting, it was sooo good.  I laughed, cried, smiled.  I felt every emotion while reading this amazing book. By the end of the book I wanted, no, needed more.

Aly, you are an amazing writer, and I look forward to reading ALL of your books!!!

If you like a fighter romance, with a lot of HEART, Fighting Silence is the book for you!

Excerpt

FIGHTING SILENCE

"That wasn't yours to take away," he exploded into the otherwise silent night. His words echoed off the surrounding buildings, each wave slicing me to the quick all over again. "That was our place. Not yours." His voice cracked right alongside my heart.

"Yeah, well, there was a lot of stuff that wasn't yours to take either." I held his gaze, desperately trying to be strong, but as his eyes grew wide, I whimpered.

His long legs strode forward, stopping only inches away from me. He was crowding me, but he still leaned in closer to my face. "There is nothing in this world that was ever more mine than you," he stated. Though it was the absolute truth, I wished with all my heart that it were a lie.

"Till," I cried, swiping the tears from my eyes.

"Why!" he shouted, causing his muscles to tense under the force. "Goddamn it! I needed that place."

Porch lights flashed on from the surrounding apartments, illuminating not only the dark but also my rage.

I shoved my hands into his chest. "What about what I needed? You left! I waited in that fucking apartment for weeks."

He didn't budge, but my bare feet slipped, sending me toward the ground. Impossibly fast, Till's hand snaked out and caught my arm. I didn't let his chivalrous gesture douse my fire. I had six months’ worth of words to say to the man I was irrevocably in love with.

"You took what you wanted. Then you left me."

"Doodle," he whispered.

I had been perilously close to the edge of insanity, and with one single word, he’d pushed me over.

I lost it completely.

Pounding my fists against his chest, I screamed at the top of my lungs, "It's Eliza! My name is fucking Eliza! Not Doodle!" I spun to march away, but Till's arms folded around me, lifting me off my feet to restrain me.

I was miniscule compared to him. There was no use in fighting, but I still kicked my legs, irrationally desperate to get away from him—but only because I knew I couldn't keep him for forever.

"Stop it!" he growled into my ear. "I know your Goddamn name—probably better than I know my own."
