*JMAC'S Review*

Desired Affliction 1:

WOW! I loved every single thing about this book!
I adored Lexi's character from the start.  When something horrible happens to her in high school, it leaves Lexi numb, alone, and afraid to trust any guy ever again.
The only time Lexi feels comfortable around a guy is when she's completely shit-faced.  She's had many nights waking up next to guys she doesn't know, and regretting it every single time.
Megan, Lexi's best friend, is the only one who knows the reason behind why Lexi does what she does, she's the only one who understands.
Both Megan and Lexi go to college where Megan's boyfriend is apart of a fraternity.
Attending their first college party at Megan's boyfriend's frat house, Lexi is reacquainted with someone from her past.
Kole..... Sweet, delicious, sexy Kole....
Kole is the definition of a male whore bag (yeah I said it).  He just wants to live his college years sleeping with as many hot girls as he can.  He doesn't do relationships, doesn't even let a girl spend the night.
Until Lexi....
I don't want to give anything away, bu what I will say is, Kole and Lexi had a very real, mostly relatable relationship.
Some things were hard to read because the emotion itself felt so real.
I honestly loved every single thing about Kole and Lexi's relationship, and I can't wait for Desired Affliction 2.
CA you completely "wowed" me for the second time.
I'm obsessed with your writing.
This was without a doubt a very bold 5 stars.  If I was able to give a higher rating I would.
If you love a real story, with serious situations, and a very serious, strong love, do yourself a favor and read Desired Affliction 1.
<3 JMAC

Desired Affliction 2:

Honestly CA you are without a doubt, officially one of my favorite authors.
Desired Affliction 2 is the continuation of Lexi and Kole's crazy, emotional ride.
I honestly am obsessed with these characters, and I don't think I'm ready to part with them.  The thought alone makes me sad.
Desired Affliction 2 takes you on the journey of Kole and Lexi's relationship.  They still have their ups and downs, but the thing I love most it that they love each other so much, that they're willing to work through almost anything.
I don't want to give anything away , so I can't say much except for the fact that this series is 1000% on my favorites list of all time.
For me, part of why I loved Kole and Lexi's story was because it reminded me of my own; beautiful, raw, love.
It goes without saying that I absolutely loved this book.  I really wish I could give this a 10 star rating, because it deserves that, but I will have to settle with a huge, bold 5 stars.
CA keep writing these amazing books!!!
Everyone go do yourselves a favor and start the Desired Affliction series, and start the beautiful, emotional, crazy ride that is Lexi and Kole.

EXCERPT:

After rummaging around in the refrigerator, I threw something quick together. I grinned seeing the pile of Toaster Strudels in the freezer. Lexi could live on those damn things. That was one thing she stayed stocked up on. A thought crossed my mind as I plucked one from the box and placed in into the toaster. I stood eating my sandwich while I waited for hers to finish cooking.

Once it was ready I squeezed the icing on the top and made my way down the hall toward the bedroom. I slowly crawled onto the bed and pulled the sheet down carefully. Lexi had the sexiest body and I was seriously addicted to her.

Once she was exposed I dipped my finger into the icing and place a small amount onto her hardened nipple. She moaned softly and I did the same to the next. I dipped it once more making a trail down her stomach stopping just above her clit. I placed the plate onto the night stand next to the bed.

Lowering my lips to her nipple I traced a circle around it before sucking softly. I let it make a popping noise as I released it from my lips moving to the next one. I watched her eyes and saw her bite her lower lip between her teeth.

After licking all the icing from her nipples I began moving lower. I ran my tongue down the path of icing until I found her swollen clit. I flipped my piercing over her a few times before sucking softly pulling her clit into my mouth.

I was so fucking hard, but I wanted to make her come first. I ran my finger through her wetness, slowly inserting my finger inside of her. She moaned and grabbed my hair. I loved when she did that. She pulled me close and rode the waves as she began to pump her hips.

“Does that feel good? Do you like the way my tongue feels fucking you?” I dipped my tongue inside of her and stroked her with it. She screamed out my name and told me not to stop. So I kept my tongue inside of her getting as much as I could.

“You taste so sweet. So good. I love tasting you.”

I felt her tense and buck her hips as I continued curling my tongue inside of her and rubbing her clit. I could feel her tense and squeeze my tongue as she came hard.

“Oh my god…yes.”

I let her ride it out before I brought my body over hers. I was so hard it hurt. I waited as I stroked myself.

“What are you waiting for, you big lug? I’m an opened invitation. Get inside.”

I laughed lightly before I sank into her. We had been going at it for over six hours and she was exhausted, I could tell. I also knew that she never turned down sex with me, so a little humor made it fun. I began rocking into her as I kissed her hard. I let her tongue roam my mouth. I was seconds away from blowing and I was trying to hold back. The moment she started talking I felt myself slipping fast.

“You feel so good. I love having you inside of me.”

I groaned and bit her shoulder. “Fuck, I’m gonna come.”

She whispered against my ear and I was done. “Come with me, Kole. Come inside of me.” I felt her squeeze me and I let out a loud groan as I emptied myself and shook with pleasure.

I collapsed on top of her and she held me close.

After a second I heard her giggle. “What’s wrong?

"Did I break you?”

I laughed and nodded my head into her shoulder. I think we had set a new record for marathon sex. I slowly withdrew and rolled to her side.

After a few deep breaths I was able to speak.

“I brought you a Strudel thing. It’s on the night stand.”

I felt her move around to grab it. I held back the laugh rising in my chest as I watched her raise the plate up. She was using the glow coming in from the street light outside to look at the plate. After a second she spoke, “Kole, did you lick off the frosting first?”

Still trying to hold back the laughter I answered her.

“Nope . I used my finger first, but I did lick it off of you.”

I hid my face in the pillow as she silently figured out what I meant.

“Kole…I’m all sticky. Go get me a wash cloth.”

I walked into the bathroom laughing. When I came back to the bed she was eating. She smiled as I began wiping her nipples slowly. I swallowed hard when I felt my cock twitch. “Lexi, I’m getting hard again.” I could just imagine her rolling her eyes at me.

“Give me the damn rag, you horn-dog.”

I laughed as I watched her clean herself up and finish her snack. When she was finished she took a drink of water and curled into my side. We were silent for a few minutes before she threw the curve ball I wasn’t expecting.

He swiftly ripped off his towel and unzipped the jacket to my sweat suit, exposing my bare chest. Al gently kissed my neck, once below my ear then slightly above my collar bone, while sliding the pink fabric off my shoulders. He lightly brushed my curls onto my back and laid me down on top of his sheets.

“Lift your hips,” he said as he tugged my pants off my waist and onto the floor. Rubbing his smooth palms across the top of my thighs, he gradually pried my legs apart and nuzzled his mouth against my wetness.

“Fuck, Allan!” I moaned softly. He grasped a hold of my hips and pushed his tongue further inside of me. My breathing sped up and my mouth opened wide, screaming as I was about to come and he stopped.

“Not so fast, it’s time to pay up.” He pulled me to my feet then pushed me down to my knees in front of him. “Open up.”

He pumped his cock until it was rock hard and shoved it in my mouth. Slow and steady at first, then he tightly grasped the back of my hair, as he forcefully shoved it down my throat.

“That’s it, good girl.” He gathered the rest of my hair in one hand and slapped the back of my neck with the other.

Phoenix Rayne's Wounded Love Blog Tour

Book: Wounded Love
Author: Phoenix Rayne
Series: From Love to Loathe, Book Two
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publisher: G Street Chronicles

SYNOPSIS:
It appears that Cricket and Jyme have it all together now. They have a house, serenity, safety a normal life. But something always seems to take Cricket back to her past sometimes, her future requires it.

I truly loved reading Cricket and Jyme's story.

Wounded Love, the second book following Heels of Love, starts off right where Heels of Love ended.

Wounded Love answered all the questions that I was left with after reading Heels of Love.

Jyme finds out things that Cricket was forced to do for her job, and things between them get really bad.

Eventually they make up but Crickets lifestyle wont allow her to stay and have a "normal" relationship.

A lot of intense events leave Jyme alone without cricket, but everything she did was always for him.

I love how Phoenix portrayed the deep love in these two characters.  I laughed, and cried with them.

Wounded Love was a great 4 star read.

I'm so happy I got a chance to experience Jyme and Cricket's journey!

I woke to an alarm but it wasn't my alarm. I sat up, looked around, and realized it was the hotel's fire alarm going off. I jumped up, ran to Cinnamon’s room, and swung the door open. She was knocked out on her bed half dressed; I shook the shit out of her, and she started yelling.

“What the hell is that noise?”

I ran down to Sugar's room, and she was butt naked and so was her company. I screamed at the both of them to get up. They both jumped up disoriented. I ran back to my room. I put my stilettos I'd had on earlier in my big purse and slid into my house shoes. I ran back down the hall, passing Sugar and her company. I ran back into Cinnamon's room, and she was wide-awake at her safe in her closet getting money out. I had forgotten about my safe, so I ran back to my room. I put the code in and yanked the door open; I pulled out the small stack of money and reached in deeper. I got the plastic bag that was balled up in the corner and shoved everything in my purse. I reached deeper, found the last item in the safe, and slid it on my ring finger. I slammed the door and took off towards the living room. Cinnamon was waiting at the door; we clasped hands and ran for the stairs. The hotel was in an uproar. We made it down to the lobby, but it was so
congested with customers trying to leave the casino.

“Basement,” I yelled to Cinnamon. We took the employee stairs and ran down the long concrete hall. There were about a dozen people in front of us, but we finally made it through the door. When we got outside, the back lawn was crammed with people rushing towards the front of the building. Cinnamon and I still held on to each other’s hands. We made it to the front of the building, and everyone was frantic. I pulled out my cell phone to call Sugar, but someone pushed me so hard I dropped the phone. I let go of Cinnamon's hand to retrieve my fallen phone. I found it and stood up straight; a man in all black with a white ski mask stood right in front of me. Before I could even prepare a good scream, someone covered my mouth with a wet bandana, and then I was out. I woke up to soft kisses all over my face, and then I stretched wide. I was sleeping well and I kept my eyes shut. Someone was happy to see me. I have had this dream so many times, and I enjoyed every single one of them.

“Hi there,” I breathed.

“Hi.”

“Where’ve you been?”

“Looking for you.”

“I’ve been right here the whole time.”

“What?”

“You used to come and see me all the time, and then you stopped.” I told him. I kissed his neck and pulled him closer.

“I’ve missed you so much.”

“Cricket?” He said my name in an odd way.

“What’s wrong? Do you have to go now? Please, Jyme, just stay a little longer.”

“Cricket,”

“Shh, just hold me real tight before you go.” There was a knock at the door, and I freaked.

“NO…PLEASE…JYME, DON’T LET HIM HURT ME. HE HITS ME SO HARD. PLEASE DON’T LEAVE ME PLEASE.” I screamed at the top of lungs through tears. Someone knocked again, louder this time.

“Wait a minute,” Jyme yelling. I clung to him and wrapped my arms around him tighter. I cried into his chest, and my eyes started stinging.

“Cricket, I’m right here, and I won’t let anybody hurt you, I swear.”

“But he’s at the door, and he’ll beat it down. He’s done it before,” I said frantically.

“Shh, Babe. Are you afraid of me?” he asked softly.

“No.” I assured him. “Then open your eyes and look at me” I slowly opened my eyes and blinked several times through piercing pain. Then, I saw him, and I slid my fingers through his jet-black hair.

“Oh it’s you!”

“It’s me,” he chuckled

“You know, you with hair; you’ve never come to see me.”

“Cricket, you're really here, and I’m really here with you. I’m not sure what you’re talking about right now. But I’m not going anywhere, and neither are you.”

“Huh” I asked him. I couldn’t help it but I pinched myself. I felt the pain but I didn’t wake up.

There was another knock at the door, and Jyme got up from the bed. I really saw him this time. His hair was loose and shoulder length. He wore jeans and a t-shirt, and his feet were bare. I looked around and recognized everything. We were in our room, and nothing had changed. The bedding was the same, and so was the furniture. I looked out the window, and there were the boats all in the water.

Phoeix Rayne's Heels of Love Blog Tour

Book: Heels of Love
Author: Phoenix Rayne
Trilogy: From Love to Loathe, Book #1
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publisher: G Street Chronicles

Synopsis:
When Cricket Hooper moves to Seattle she only has a couple of goals—find a job and an apartment near her friend Chelle, and basically to live a quiet, normal life. However, it isn't long before life becomes far from normal.

When a mysterious man helps get her car out of the mud after she makes a wrong turn, she finds herself in his thrall. He wines and dines her, quite literally, and before Cricket can stop it, things are steamy and serious…very serious.

Cricket is thrown aback when Jyme turns out to be more than a simple fisherman, but then she isn't telling all of her story either.

Heels of Love was a great, fast paced read.
I loved the character of Cricket.  I felt she had a lot of things that she kept hidden inside.  She was a girl who so badly wanted to let people in, yet feared people's reaction if they were to find out who she really was.
I fell hard for Jyme.  He's sexy, tall and dark.  YUMMY.  I thought Jyme was a sweet mysterious mix.  He made me smile, laugh, cry, and sometimes just got me mad.
When the two start their journey together, it's one that will consume you.
This story takes you places you'll never expect, which was part of the reason why I liked it so much.
Heels of Love is a book you won't be able to put down.  I read it in one sitting, not moving from where I was until I read the very last word.
Heels of Love definitely leaves you with unanswered questions, but I was very happy to see that Phoenix Rayne wrote Wounded Love, the second book in the trilogy.
Overall, Heels of Love was a great 4 star read for me.
I can't wait to get my hands on Wounded Love, and get the rest of Cricket and Jyme's story!
