I really enjoyed Loving Colt. The Southern Boys Series might be my favorite Cowboy series ever.  Yes, I love my cowboys!

 

So Colt is just a sweetie.  This book was a bit fast paced, but it worked.  Though it was fast paced, I still got a lot of emotions out of this book.  I loved the relationship between Colt and Alexis.  Alexis had a horrible past relationship, one she was running from.  When she met Colt she didn't want to trust him.  She didn't want her past bad decisions to collide with her future decisions, so she avoided guys totally.

 

It was clear that these two had a strong attraction, and connection to each other, and sometimes you cant help who you fall in love with.

 

Loving Colt is the story of trust.  Learning to let go of the bad things that have happened to you, and not letting it get in the way of the good that could happen with someone else.

Trusting that not everyone is out to get you.

 

Both Colt and Alexis have been burned by people closest to them.  It was great to see them both learn to trust each other, not worrying about if they would eventually be together, just taking it one step at a time. 

 

If you love sexy southern men, and a good love story, Loving Colt is definitely for you!

I loved the s**t out of this book.  We all know I’m obsessed with southern men/cowboys.  I seriously have a weakness for them. CA Harms doesn’t disappoint with Finding Gavin.  The emotions I felt reading this book, are just indescribable.  I connected so much with this book on a personal level.  My heart was aching at certain points.  I cried, I laughed, and I was all hot and bothered.  I loved EVERY SINGLE THING about this book. 

We met Gavin and Maria in Finding Reed (book 1).  They both had a fling.  Well, it was more like Gavin would get drunk and find himself at Maria’s house, and Maria just couldn’t find it in herself to say no to him.  I mean have you seen the cover…. GAVIN IS HOT!!!!

Anyways, Gavin has some things that he needs to take care of back home, and that is part of the reason why he just won’t commit to Maria.  After a while Maria is done wallowing in her depression, so she decides to try to move on.    

It’s very clear Gavin has huge commitment issues, and rightfully so.  He does realize that Maria deserves better, and he wants to give that to her he just doesn’t know how. 

The journey of Maria and Gavin’s relationship is one I won’t forget.  Again, I connected on a whole other level with this story.  It was just so REAL to me. 

I really can’t say much without giving main points of the book up, so I’m going to leave you with this.  Finding Gavin was an amazing book. A bold 5 star read for sure.  CA takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions, and you will love every single second of it. 

Do yourself a favor and get lost in Finding Gavin.  I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Shattered By Love is the 3^rd book in the Scarred By Love Series, and while all books in the series can be read as a standalone, it’s way better to read in order that way you are introduced to each character properly.

So Shattered by Love is Bree and Max’s story.  We knew from Broken By Love (book 2) that Max and Bree were having issues.  Mainly because Max couldn’t commit.  Max is your typical bachelor.  He works, lives with his brother, and has an endless list of females who at any moment are waiting to jump on him.  Yes, he’s a sexy beast.  Oh, I forgot to mention Max is a firefighter.  So boy is he ON FIRE!

“Bree rarely held a smile when we were together.  I was not good to her; most of our nights ended with her crying or me slipping out of her bed to go home.  That thought made my stomach hurt.  She deserved more than me.  I wasn’t good for her.  I was the cocky son of a bitch that should have just left her alone.” -Max

Anyways, after feeling like nothing but a late night booty call, Bree is done.  Bree keeps her mind off Max by working at the center for kids.  She’s had a horrible past, and likes to do whatever she can to make sure kids who have a tough life, get to experience happiness, even if it’s just for a couple of hours at the center.  Bree also keeps her time occupied with school. 

“I deserve to be loved and cherished.  I need to be treasured.  For once in my life, I want someone to feel as if he can’t go on without me in his world.  I want to be the center of someone else’s world for a change.” -Bree

Max is the brother that all of his siblings lean on.  He’s the one who solves all the problems, the one who protects everyone.  Max is a manly man.  He doesn’t “talk his feelings out”.  He doesn’t cry about things, he’s tough.  He doesn’t have time to be weak. Not ever.  Until he loses Bree.

“I didn’t like the darkness that consumed me.  The problem was that I had no idea what I needed to do to get back to the light.”

After a fire that could have ended in deaths, Max vows to change his ways in all aspect.  He sort of had a “come to Jesus” moment, which opened his eyes to the big picture in life.

Max knew deep down, that he belonged to Bree.  He just didn’t realize until it was almost too late.  Bree already loves Max, but she’s not willing to be his doormat for him to walk all over.  Bree finally came to the realization that she deserves more than what Max was willing to give.

“I had to find a way to convince Bree that this time would be different.  Being without her was no longer an option.  I needed her, Bree was my future.”

Both Bree and Max go through many ups and downs.  CA has a beautiful way with words.  I felt the heartache, pain, love, and all other emotions both these characters were going through.  I have to say that this whole series is one of my favorite series.  There are so many emotions in all the books that I feel like I am in the story myself, going through all the emotions with them.
