When You Make It Home
by Claire Ashby
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: July 12, 2014

Meg Michaels, a bookstore owner, has already walked away from two cheating exes. She’s learned her lesson and has her mind set on success—until she gets knocked up. Embarrassed and unwilling to discuss her situation with friends and family, she wears layers to hide the pregnancy.

When Meg gets sick at a party, she’s mortified. Even worse, Theo Taylor, the guest of honor, discovers her secret. Theo, an Army medic wounded in the war, agrees not to reveal her condition, and the two forge a bond of friendship that blossoms into love.

Theo is soon filling all of Meg’s late-night cravings—and not just the pregnancy-induced ones. But can their love overcome all the obstacles that stand between them and creating a happy family?

When you make it home was an amazing book! It is not your typical girl meets boy, they have great sex and fall in love with a few ups and downs.  This book is more like how life can be, not a fairy tale.  Meg and Theo are instantly drawn to one another but both have many problems of their own to sort out.  Theo deals with coming home a wounded soldier and not fitting into his hometown routine anymore. While Meg is hiding her pregnancy, which is the first thing Theo sees.  They open up each other’s worlds and dive deep into a relationship that seems to fit their lives, but then turns quickly into love.  I was expecting more sex, and more ups and downs, but this book is more real life and it shows the honor of a man who put his life on the line for the country then putting his life in her hands.  As you read through the book you see how Theo loves Meg, but Meg seems distant and has family problems she deals with.  She is a very independent woman and Theo lets her be that.  He helps her come to terms with her pregnancy and how to handle the questions of it all.  Meg and Theo are a story of true love and togetherness.  I give this book a 4 star rating as it was a real life type scenario, and I found I can relate to these characters as if they were friends of mine.

Claire Ashby was born and raised in the heart of Atlanta. At a young age, she began keeping journals and over time embellished the details of her quiet days. Eventually, she let go of writing reality altogether and delved completely into the world of fiction.

When she's not reading or writing, she spends her time watching extreme survival shows and taking long walks after nightfall. She has an unnatural love of high places, but still regrets the time she skydived solo. She believes some things are better left to the imagination. She resides in Austin with her family and a pack of wild dogs.

Beauties! Make sure you add Very Wicked Things to your TBR list!

Very Wicked Things (Briarcrest Academy #2)
A standalone novel
by Ilsa Madden-Mills

Meet Cuba Hudson and add to your TBR pile!

Here's a little preview...
Girls say I’m a walking, talking sex god. Guys call me Hollywood because my life is golden.
It’s not.
But ESPN did rank me as a four star recruit, calling me one of the best defensive players since Briarcrest Academy opened its esteemed doors.
So yeah, with football and a stellar GPA, my future seemed good.
Then Dovey Beckham shows up in her short as hell skirts and ballet shoes. Driving me insane. Making me want to beg for her attention.
But that wouldn’t happen, because Cuba Hudson didn’t beg for anything.
She walked around BA like she owned the place, and most days she looked right through me…the one girl I couldn’t have.
So, of course, I made it my mission to claim her, to put her notch on my bedpost.
Because no girl can resist the Heartbreaker of BA.
But I never planned on destroying her.
I never planned on wrecking the one thing that could save me.

Welcome to Briarcrest Academy, where wicked love begins…and ends.
